Back on the right track....

YoMette doing some heavy surfing in San Sebastian, late june.

So much new to report about! Kink is once again up and running! You know what to do...
What else is new? I found the vans X pukas slip on in San Sebastian. Not as kool irl as on the web thou.

The new Burton site has dropped as well as new sites from Foursquare, Special Blend an tons of other. So far FourSquare looks the best.

P.S. Still waiting for that Burton catalogue to get to Sweden.

Next gen boards from Lib Tech

The boards we really want to lay our hands on....

More from Mustachio...

...and also a great interview with norweigan snowboard company and Norröna-spin offs Whiteout!!

Grenade 07/08

Grenade gloves for 07/08 are popping! The excellent site El Mustachio has some pics of the upcoming gloves. As usual they look really great! The mandreas mitt is my favourite so far for the 07/08. But on the other hand - so far no other gloves have beaten my 3 years old Burton gore mitt. But who knows?

Why get sponsored?

Molly Aguirre blogs about sponsorship and why you shouldn´t care sp much. Sure it´s easy for her to lay down the words. But maybe she´s right. What is snowboarding all about? Maybe it isn´t just about money stash and getting free gear. Read and think for your self kids!

Airblaster for 07/08

More kick ass than ever. Airblaster for 07/08. Log on to ebay asap.
The colours makes us think of the best snowboarding film 2005/06 The DC mtn lab. Remember all the crazed colours Travis Parker used?

Holden Outerwear look book 07/08

This news is too good to only be published on kink.se...
Finally some pictures of the coming Holden products are online! As usual when it comes to Holden it´s pure quality and style! For you who don´t are too familiar with Holden (I´ve bought two jackets this season and I did the same last season) it´s stylish and a bit more fitted that say Foursquare.

The fabrics (hemp, twill herringbone etc) are not so common for snowboarding clothes, but they look really good and perform well. The colours are a bit more mellow. Good when you´re on the streets, maybe not as good riding backcountry. But if you match it with some bright colour pants it should be just fine.

As usual you´ll find some jackets and pants in more enviromental friendly fabrics.

So what´s hot for the next season? The beanies look really good. As do the down jackets.
New for next season is that Holden will include some gloves as well.

Quiksilver ads

Some good out door ads from Quiksilver. Maybe you´ve already read all about it on kink.se?

You can see them all here. My favourite is this one. It comes with a surfboard and everything. But isn´t it a bit too close to what Burton did one or two years ago when they handed out seats made of snowboards to shops? Or a bit like what Sportif has done with sk8 decks?

Bern helmets

Even tough the snow season might be reaching its end you still need a good helmet. Bern makes helmets with some sort of hat like inner. Which lets you decide if you should wear the helmet winter time (with the hat on) or summer time (with the hat off).

These helmets are amongst the best looking we´ve seen so far. Burtons Red helmets are really comfy and everything. But they are just soo ugly! So Bern is a must favourite for the coming (spring/summer) season or at least next winter season.

Burton iDiom 07/08

Shelta a store in Göteborg Sweden has just posted some photos of the coming range from iDiom. It looks really good. It might be the best to come from iDiom in two or three years time.

In Sweden you´ll also find iDiom at Item. They also have all the pics in the official look book. Pop by and check it out!

07/08 Burton boards

Pictures of all different snowboards for the coming season are dropping on the Internet. Here is the Burton UnInc for the next season. Good looking graphics with nice animals. We´re not sure what the kids in the park will say...

Burton x Paul Smith Collabo gone bad?

Highsnobity says: Burton Mark XIII is an incredible collection, combining style, premium materials and state-of-the-art construction. The idea of the line is to blend mountain inspired technology with contemporary urban fashion and one can for sure say that they more than achieved their goal. Every piece comes with great details and in outstanding quality.

What´s the deal anyway? If you wanna go shredding you don´t need Paul Smith and if you gonna go not-shredding you don´t need Burton (I know you don´t believe me but that´s really the truth). Still the jacket has some nice details. But far more interesting are the iDiom collection for next year. If you´re in Sthlm you should pop over to Item, ask really nice and check out their iDiom lookbook.

Good looking jackets in colours gone bad

Nikita down 4 good.
And this is not the best colour...

Holden Tulip
Not even this crappy mustard colour can make this jacket look bad. Soo kick ass.

Bonfire Blur
Why don´t they ever make guys jacket look this kool (actually the Blut jacket is avaivable for men as well)?

Why women snowboarding jackets are better looking

1. Not too baggy, still not to dressed or too much "fashion".
2. Girls who snowboard are cooler than girls who don´t.
3. Because brigt colours and patterna make you happy.
4. And bright colours and patterns might help you once you´re stuck way off pist or in the middle of (or under) an avalanche.
5. Usually a bit cheaper...

What time is it?

About time to upgrade to a more technical time shower? The Yeti from the company that brought you Hampus own jacket is here. It shows the time, but also the temperature and altitude and a lot more.

Stay warm in stylee

Since the cold is still holding on and the winter has some more weeks to go it might be time for a new beanie. This beanie from Alife -straight outta NYC- migt be more than you can handle. But yet it looks really good once you´ve attacked the slopes.
